Bruce Reynolds, Bulimba Hydria, linoleum and paint on wood panel, 2015

In late 2024 I visited an exhibition of works by Bruce Reynolds. There was a film showing in the gallery portraying old dwellings shortly before demolition as the linoleum was stripped from the shelving. This is the source of his materials, the backbone of the designs on show.

It’s good to see old, apparently useless, wares being creatively repurposed.
