Collagraph: cutting and arranging

Several years ago I printed a series called ‘Other Worlds’ and I’ve now repurposed one of the original collagraph plates. My favourite print from the plate looked like this:

I started by cutting the plate into pieces and sealing the cut edges.

Top left is the original shellac coated plate. You can see how it was made HERE. The other images are the resulting cut triangles.

Below shows a selection of the inked and printed pieces.

250gsm BFK Rives, sepia oil-based ink

I quite like the arrangement. It would be interesting to try this with more than a single colour.
